WI plant grills up beef tips & dogs for a UPF mid year appreciation celebration This Fourth of July saw more than the standard of celebrating our nation’s proud heritage at UPF. MIFDI learns all about UPF PolyTank Design Just last week, United Plastic Fabricating hosted the Massachusetts Institute of Fire Department Instructors at our Massachusetts location. Their visit (led by our CEO and owner Joe Lingel) included an overview of the engineering and fabrication processes. The day started off with an introduction by Joe, who also introduced our VP of Engineering Michael Ashley. The group broke into two groups, with Joe and Michael each leading one. Fox Valley College Recognizes Marcia Anderson’s Dedication to Quality Fox Valley College ran a recent article about UPF’s Marcia Anderson and her accomplishments! The college publishes their news media Focus Magazine bi-annually, with stories featuring the students, alumni, and partners of Fox Valley. The magazine’s Fall issue for 2017 highlighted the accomplishments of Marcia Anderson, a longtime member of United Plastic Fabricating’s family. United Plastic Fabricating Employees Don’t Just Make PolyTanks As part of an annual tradition, United Plastic Fabricating Employees collected toys during December for our holiday toy drive! For the third year now, UPF collects toys for the program Si, Se Puede. The drive had everyone came together to collect various gifts for schoolchildren affected by the program. UPF’s Custom Plastic Design leads to Holiday Fun As part of United Plastic Fabricating’s holiday tradition, employees at our North Andover, MA office gathered the week of Thanksgiving for our annual Turkey Toss! During the three days before the holiday, the company holds preliminary rounds with a showdown between the finalists. Everyone competes to score the highest on a scoreboard created using our own custom plastic design process (more on this below!) Pat Cahill Attends 4 Guys Dealer Event Despite the superstition of Friday the 13th, Pat had a great time at 4 Guys a week ago! Located in Meyersdale Pennsylvania, they established themselves as a trusted builder over the past four decades. UPF Updates ISO 9001 Standards This past week, United Plastic Fabricated completed the long process of moving to ISO 9001:2015. Having previously operated on the ISO 9001:2008 system, this switch brought along plenty of change. This shakeup, however, served to highlight some key changes in the company that we believe will better our service.
