UPF mid year appreciation to kick off the Fourth of July!
WI plant grills up beef tips & dogs for a UPF mid year appreciation celebration
This Fourth of July saw more than the standard of celebrating our nation’s proud heritage at UPF. In addition to the standard burgers and brats to take home, our WI plant went the extra mile for this mid year appreciation. They wheeled out a long grill and tents to cook up some lunch for everyone at the plant! Unscheduled ahead of time, our director of sales, Pat Cahill, decided to pull lunch together the night before.
On Monday, our plant manager Marty Ettledorf got an unexpected call from Pat. Despite Marty’s doubts that they could feed ninety people with 12 hours notice, everyone set to work. Grill assembly began on Monday night, and was completed for Pat’s arrival with all the food mid-morning Tuesday. From the store opening at 10 to lunch at 12, the WI team managed to cook, plate, and serve all ninety people with as little chaos as possible.
Despite all the worry, Pat and Marty spearheaded a wildly successful cookout lunch the day before Fourth of July celebrations. By the time Friday rolled around, they repeated the feat for the weekend crew- this time with much less stress. We take pride in our dedicated and hardworking staff, and were thrilled to show a UPF mid year appreciation done out way for them!
