Lean Enterprise Institute James WomackLean Enterprise Institute Comes to UPF

James Womack, the founder and chairman of the Lean Enterprise Institute, visited UPF at our MA plant last week. The Lean Enterprise Institute is a nonprofit institution for the dissemination and exploration of the Lean thinking philosophy. James Womack continues to further development the Institute, and authored the book The Machine That Changed the World . Here he takes a plant tour with UPF President Andrew Lingel, Director of Manufacturing Jim Fenton, and Plant Manager Neil Godin. United Plastic Fabricating respects the work Womack and his institute have done, and respects the positive impact of Lean thinking. We continuously seek to improve ourselves here at UPF, and value the benefits of new approaches to our manufacturing process.
