North Andover, MA: United
Plastic Fabricating, Inc. of Massachusetts has signed a contract to construct a new
expanded facility in Neenah, Wisconsin. Currently occupying a 48,000 square foot facility in Neenah,
UPF will move into a brand new 100,000 square foot facility, occupying 70,000 square feet in December of this year.
“The new facility is a major step for UPF to meet the market demand for our products in the
fire service. This is another milestone in the history of the company that we thank our customers for. Coincidentally, in addition to moving into the new building, we will be producing our 50,000th tank as well as entering our twentieth year of business
in December,” said Joe Lingel,
UPF’s President and CEO.
As a further step in its strategic
plan, UPF has consolidated its Nevada facility into the Wisconsin facility.
“We recognize the need to be cost competitive in our products and this
consolidation will be a significant step in maintaining our costs,” said
Lingel.
With an additional location in Ocala, Florida
and a total of more than 225 employees, UPF is the original and longest continuous manufacturer of polypropylene water
and foam tanks for the fire service. “We continue to be the market leader and are exploring other expansion opportunities for the company including possible joint ventures and acquisitions,” Lingel concluded.
