UPF Florida opened its doors in Ocala in 1989 in a 20,000 square foot facility. In 2000, UPF Florida moved into a 39,000 square foot facility. The Florida facility has over 50 employees and manufacturers over 1,250 Poly-Tanks a year. Servicing the Southern Eastern U.S., UPF Florida manufacturers UPF’s full line of products.

Plant Manager Nelson Lateer has 18 years of experience working at Tyco International in different business units in roles from Production Manager to Plant Manager.  During his tenure at Tyco, Nelson was involved in introducing and rolling out Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma techniques.  In addition to his extensive experience in manufacturing, he attended leadership and technical schools while in the U.S. Marine Corp.
